Deadman's Hustle

Deadman's Hustle was submitted for The Brackey's Game Jam 2025.2 (August 24th to August 31st)

The game is a version of blackjack, which ties into the jam's theme "risk it for the biscuit".

THE PREMISE

You're broke; $50 to your name. To save your pocketbook, you decide to enter the Deadman's Spade; a death casino. You risk your life in a gauntlet of 8 skeleton dealers. 

Each one will challenge you to a game of blackjack. These dealers don't play nice; their cards can be cursed and manipulate you with bargains.
If you win 3 rounds? You move to the next match.
If a dealer wins 3 rounds? Your soul is stolen, and you become a skeleton dealer for the rest of eternity. 

Will you get through all 8 matches and walk out with a large sum of cash? Or will the odds be against your favor, and lead to your demise? Enter the Deadman's Spade to find out!
